Set Yourself Up for Success

Feeling good about yourself is absolutely necessary to attract what you want. Your actions are also important because what you do connects your inner world to your outer experience. Taking action is powerful because "doing" is a way of "being" which tells The Universe that you are committed to "having."

Set yourself up for success by doing somthing that shifts your energy. Anything you do that moves your energy closer to the energy of your desires causes The Universe to move mountains on your behalf. And nothing ramps up the process like making a gesture that changes the physical world in some way.

Whether you want to attract relationships, abundance, or good health, you will get it faster by thinking and acting in ways that clearly demonstrates to The Universe you expect to succeed.

If You Want

If you want to start your own business,

do somthing that another person can see "you mean business." Even if you aren’t sure what it will look like, you can read about business owners who started where you are today, with a dream. Talk to entrepreneurs in your community. People love to talk about themselves. So why not ask some of your local merchants you to tell you their story over a cup of coffee? Put together a notebook of the advice they offer. Get creative and include photos, brochures, business cards, flyers, menus, and sample invoices. Ask if you can record your conversations to help you focus on your vision for your future.

It may help you to start a list of the resources you’ll need to open your business. Don’t let this list overwhelm you, simply use it as a guide that helps you visualize things falling into place. Keep in mind that an open mind is the surest way to keep the road open before you. Be flexible and only focus on the details that please you. If you start to feel uneasy about certain areas, let them go and trust that all you have to do is stay excited about the big picture and keep moving in that direction.

If you see challenges as obstacles, that is what they become. If you see challenges as opportunities for inspiration, that is what they become. What you want is a natural flow of enthusiasm, fed by your desires and the belief that you are on your way, regardless of what seems to be happening. Your optimism—another word for having faith no matter what—is your greatest asset.

Continue to focus on what you really want and watch for signs that confirm The Universe is moving mountains for you. You may not be able to decipher what those movements are or why they are happening. Some events or changes may seem like more problems headed your way. A lost job, a relationship that ends, a dead end on your path may occur, but if you believe you are worthy, if you believe you are a part of God and watch those changes with appreciation and even quiet amusement, you will be amazed at how it all comes together.

Should you decide to take a different direction once you’ve tested the one you’re on now, let that be OK too. Don’t beat yourself up. Keep the big picture in mind and keep going. You may be surprised at the perfection of the journey once you’ve taken a few more turns.

If you want to go back to school,

but don’t have the money yet, go to the library and read books on the subjects you will be studying in school. Tell the librarian what you are up to. Even if you aren’t sure how it’s going to happen, talk it up with confidence and show enthusiasm for the school you’ve chosen to attend. You have no idea of the divine connections you can make with people who can help you when you let The Universe bring them to you.

If you want to make a bigger gesture, submit your application for next semester. Select the classes you want to take and drive to the campus or visit it online and learn everything you can about the school and the faculty.

Visualize opening the mailbox and pulling out the financial aid you need. See your boss giving you time off to attend classes and encouraging your studies. Research student loan options and apply for scholarships.

Tell the Universe you mean business by getting out there and expecting to find the perfect solution. You might find a job at the school that suits your schedule and qualifies you for free tuition. But you won’t find that kind of opportunity sitting around, worrying, putting yourself down, or telling others that you’ll never have the money to go back to school.

If you want the perfect relationship,

keep in mind there is no such thing as a perfect man or woman. Relationships between imperfect people can be wonderful and fulfilling, but they are always imperfect.

Also keep in mind that you always attract someone who is a match for you in terms of energy. If you need validation from a lover, you will attract the right person to teach you that you need to learn to validate yourself. If you are unhappy with yourself, the person you attract will either help you learn, through unhappy experiences, how to be happy with yourself, or will be just as co-dependant on you to make them happy. Who you get depends on what you've asked for and what you expect.

The key to attracting a loving, supportive relationship, or turning the one you have now into a better one, is to be loving and supportive of yourself first. If your core belief is that you are not worthy, you will attract a match to those beliefs in one form or another. When you believe down to your core that you deserve to be happy and to have a deep, committed, inter-dependant, mutually supportive relationship with someone who is also happy with themselves, then, you will naturally do what you are inspired to do to attract that person.

In terms of setting yourself up for success, I recommend getting happy with yourself first. Certainly, practice makes naer-perfect. However, human relationships are so important and so delicate that people who are insecure and tend to beat themselves up over every little thing are not in the best position to practice, just yet. There are massive amounts of books, workshops, counselors, groups, and other resources available to you in your community and online. Use these as the action steps that shift your energy and tell the world you mean business until you are ready to open shop. And when you do, whoever you attract will match your energy at a higher level because your core beliefs will have evolved to a higher level.

Conscious creation requires thinking and acting with conviction. People with conviction act with courage and determination, no matter what. They don’t just believe, they expect. They sense their dreams coming true regardless of the way things seem today. People with conviction are dreamers. They are not ostriches with their heads in the sand; they are visionaries who see with an inner vision of how it will be.

Thinking and acting as if you’ve succeeded, or at least on your way, doesn’t mean ignoring what needs to be done. Go to work, pay your bills, and clean your home. Take care of your family and yourself. Find a role model and think and act as this person would in your situation. Confidence is the most attractive quality you can have. Enthusiasm is the most charismatic energy you can exude. When you exemplify both, the world responds accordingly.

If your family and friends offer discouraging or “realistic” advice, thank them and move on. Don’t make them wrong because they don’t know about the Law of Attraction. You can be a quiet example for them while you openly share your dreams with those who listen to your ideas, help you brainstorm, and do what they can to assist while you eagerly anticipate the wondrous future you deserve.

Whatever you do, be patience with and kind to yourself. You’ve known people who dream big, then sabotage their efforts with negative, limiting thoughts. That’s what an average person does. But you are not average. You are a conscious creator who chooses thoughts that align your energy with what you want no matter how things seem to be.

You get what you expect. If you appreciate your blessings and anticipate greater things to come, you are in the best possible place to set yourself up for success.
